End of Year Reflection

The Best thing about 2018 was camp because I have never been to the Marlborough sounds before and it was a great time.

The thing I am most proud of is making into a Westamaths team because I like maths and we went to Hokitika. 

My goal for 2019 is to make it into the Westamaths team in 2019 and go to Canterbury for Cantamaths aswell. 

The Boy in the striped pyjamas

Today I have made a drawing about The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas. We have read the book and watched the movie and there were differences. We had to make a drawing to tell the differences about the book and the movie and the parts that were the same.

Inquiry questions

Kristian - 1. What celebrations do Jewish celebrate? 2. What made Hitler kill himself?  

Kristian and Cruz 1. How many Jewish were killed at each of the concentration camps?

Cruz - 1.who started the Nazis party 2. Why did the Nazis hate the Jewish people?

Basketball Digital Badge

This basketball season I represented Grey Main in the Yr 7/8 Competition. I have earnt my basketball digital badge made by Ruby B.

West-a-Maths

On Wednesday I represented Grey Main School at West-A-Maths. This was a privilege and I have earnt my West-A-Maths digital badge.

Self Respect

Today and yesterday I have made a drawing of self respect. We had to make it from whanau time. It was to teach us Self respect and how to do it.

Descriptive writing

I have done some descriptive writing and I think I have done it well.

I felt really cold that I shivered all over the body, my feet and my arms. I felt like I was a Yeti in the cold!. I can smell the cold fresh morning breeze in my nostrils. I can hear all the ice crush when I am stepping in the ice cold grass. I could see the sun but it was still freezing. I felt like I was about to die. The trees are surrounding me like a wall.

Cinquain poem

I have done a cinquain this week. A cinquain poem is where you describe a word in a poem like this

You do the 1st word as the title 2 describing words 3 more words below the 2 and then 4 words below the 3 and then you put the the same meaning of the title at the bottom
