Camp reflection 2016

Fox glacier camp               IMG_0134.JPG        (best camp I’ve been on)

The first thing we did was get to school and put our stuff in the hall. After a bit we put our big bags into the back of our car. We tried to leave for Hokitika at  9:00. When we got to Hokitika we stopped at the park for a little play and then we left Hokitika for hari hari and had a play there. Before we left We saw M2. we also had to count caravans on the way I counted 104. And I had lollies

Before we got to Fox Glacier we had a swim at lake Mapourika and Nikau found a skull near the end of the swim and we jumped of the jetty but we couldn’t jump of the end of the jetty because it was too shallow at the end but it wasn’t near the sand for some reason
We left for Franz Josef Wildlife centre to see the kiwi’s and in the Kiwi room we had to be very quiet and we could’nt make a sound but it was cool to see a kiwi.

We then went on the windy road to Fox Glacier then we went to the top ten park and we saw a trampoline on the playground but first we had to get our room ready for the night…

The next day we had to get our breakfast and then we had to get prepared for our 5 hour walk the walk was very long but it didn’t feel like it from the carpark. We had to climb a really big hill it was hard but when we got to the top we got to have a lollie from a lollie bag and we stayed up at the top of the hill for a bit for a view of the glacier and it was a good view. It was really easy to get down the big hill but there was lots of rocks and stones as we were coming down it didn't take long to get back to the carpark and lots of people thought we were getting a bus from the carpark but we didn’t get a bus the walk was around 20 kilometers it was quite fun but big. When we got back we had free time before the geo caching

After the big walk we went geo caching where we used our activity groups
Phone or cellphone’s google maps and typed in the coordinates that road it was on and we searched for them on that road. For one of the coordinates we had to go through the G low worm dell. geo caching is really fun. I could do it again

After geo caching we were able to go for a swim and brendan was in the pool so he was launching us into the air from his knees when I did it I did a backflip and it was fun then we did a whirlpool.

Then we had nachos for tea and they were amazing
After that we had pudding and I got a really big piece of cake
And i had chocolate sprinkles 100’s and 1000’s and STRAWBERRY TOPPING (it was great)

The next morning we had breakfast and I had corn flakes and we had to pack up before or after breakfast and we went to lake matheson (the mirror lake) and we went over a swing bridge and we saw a wedding at lake matheson. we went to the glacier viewing point and we saw the glacier ( that’s the point of a glacier viewing point )

The best thing about camp was climbing up the hill
Camp was fun

Reflection Week 9

This is my maths follow up. I have learnt how to round the biggest number to the the closest tidy number

1) 4 × 19=76 (2) 3 × 41=123 (3) 5 × 59=295
4) 7 × 52=364         (5) 4 × 73= 19          (6) 3 × 37=119
7) 6 × 102=61         (8) 5 × 301=14         (9) 4 × 698 =2792
      10) 3 × 499=49       (11) 7 × 602= 421   (12) 9 × 3999=35991

These are my silly sentences. Our goal is in word work to do silly sentences with our spelling words and add pictures after we have put our silly sentences on our drawing. Here is mine.

Here is my literacy flow chart on wonderful water. It is about water pollution
